Lenovo Announces IdeaPad Touch P1 With Windows 7

When the tablet world is awash with iPad2 this and honeycomb that, Lenovo have come out with a Windows 7 tablet that looks great to boot. The IdeaPad Tablet P1  should be the choice of those who are not interested in what everyone else is doing (read, hipsters), and want to stick to good ol' Windows 7 for their mobile computing needs.

The IdeaPad Tablet P1 features a 10.1 inch form factor with a 1.5GHz Intel Processor, 2GB DDR2 RAM, 64GB of SSD storage as well as built-in 3G, USB2.0 and a microSD Slot. With specs like these, the P1 will most likely leave all other Windows 7 tablets in the market at the moment, in the lurch. The P1 measures just 14.5mm thick and looks pretty darn good with the "Clementine Orange" rear. The P1 will also be able to withstand about 6 hours of use which is honestly not too much by todays standards.

Lenovo is keeping mum about pricing for this one at the moment but they are slating it for a Q4 2011 arrival. Question is, in Q4, will it be too little, too late? I don't think anyone would want a W7 tablet when there will be much better all over the place.
