Honda To Begin a Global Recall For 200,000 Cars

Honda Motor earlier today has announced a global recall for three of their car models - Stream, Civic and Crossroads – that are manufactured between July 2008 and July 2010 due to defective engine parts. Apparently, the recall was caused by a technical irregularities that might interfere with the cars maneuverability and engine's interoperability.

This operation is estimated to involve around 200,000 cars throughout the world. Since there are quite a number of parallel imported Honda Stream and Civic in this country, local owners might want to check out the recall notice at Honda Japan's website to see the status of their cars.
Even the officially imported units are not safe from the recall operation as Honda Malaysia has issued a “product upgrade” campaign to all 1,494 Honda Stream that are known to be affected by the problem. However, Honda Malaysia has assured that those Stream that are currently on sale are defect-free.
