I still remember this one beautiful day in September 2009 where One Utama Shopping Mall played host to the launch of Sony PSPgo, alongside then-new Sony PlayStation 3 Slim. Now, the handheld gaming device has suddenly reached the end of its production life after barely 2 years in the market.
Even though Sony didn’t actually made any official announcement about it but the company has stated in a statement to a Japanese tech site that they has ceased the production of PSPgo and are now focusing on their upcoming Next Generation Portable (NGP) which is scheduled to hit the market towards the end of this year. However, this announcement does not affect the standard PSP-3000 model which will continue to be in production for the market.
Sony also stated that they will keep on selling the remaining stocks of PSPgo until they all gone. So, better grab one now before it totally vanished from the market; especially for those video games memorabilia and console collectors out there.
