Although not exactly true to LG’s claim as being the “first” dual-core smartphone, the LG Optimus 2X is definitely the first to be on sale here in Malaysia.
Running on Android 2.2 Froyo, the Optimus 2X is powered by a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor that’s clocked at 1GHz which allows faster web browsing, smoother audio and video playback and seamless multitasking between apps. The brilliant 4.0-inch touch screen displays 16 million colors at 480 x 800 and can play 1080p content with crystal clarity.
You’ll also be happy to know that the Tegra 2 processor has a relatively low power consumption rating, so you’ll get to enjoy double the processing without having to sacrifice battery life.
The LG Optimus 2X is available exclusively through Celcom for RM1899 from now till 1 May 2011. It will be available at all authorized LG dealers after 1 May at the same price.
