Intel Malaysia Officially Launches The Sandy Bridge Core Processors

You’ve heard of them. Heck, you might have even seen them at stores. Nevertheless, Intel has finally launched the second generation Intel Core processors - also fondly known as Sandy Bridge - here in Malaysia. Originally unveiled at CES’11 earlier this year, it is a huge release from the company as the new line-up involved more than 20 new processors together with 10 chipsets and 4 wireless adapters.
The second generation Intel Core family of processors are equipped with a mixture of improved features from the previous generation of Core processors, and a number of new technologies that work hand in hand to give users what Intel dubbed as “visibly smarter performance”. These features include the next-generation Intel HD Graphics built-in GPU, upgraded Turbo Boost capabilities, Intel Wireless Display 2.0, Intel Quick Sync Video accelerator and many more.
“The new second generation Intel Core processors represent the biggest advance in computing performance and capabilities over any other previous generation. The built-in visual capabilities enabled by these processors are stunning. This, combined with improved adaptive performance will revolutionize the PC experience in a way that is obvious for every user to see and appreciate,” – Prakash Mallya, Country Manager, Sales and Marketing, Intel Malaysia.
