Behold; the replacement for the 2010’s HTC Desire has landed in Malaysia. Available right now and exclusively from Maxis Centres and Maxis Exclusive Partners nationwide, the new HTC Desire S carries a standard retail price of RM 1,799. Of course, the price will be slightly lower for consumers that purchase it together with a Maxis data plan. We are looking at RM 1,499 for 12 months contract, RM 1,399 for 18 months and RM 1,299 for 24 months.
From a glance, the newly redesigned HTC Desire S looks and feel just like the original Desire with its sleek aluminium body, 3.7-inch display and 5-megapixel rear camera. There are couple of new hardware though as it is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor that features a Scorpion application processor and Adreno 205 graphic progessor together with 768 MB of RAM and 1.1GB of ROM. It runs on the Android 2.3 a.k.a Gingerbread draped with HTC Sense user interface.
