Kaspersky Internet Security and Anti-Virus 2012 Have Landed

Kaspersky - who holds the reputation as one of the most popular computer security outift around - has just announced the availability of the 2012 edition of their flagship security products for consumers, the Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) and Kaspersky Anti-Virus (KAV), in Malaysia. This year's edition mark the debut of what Kaspersky dubbed as the “hybrid protection” technology which leverages on the power of cloud computing to strengthen their end-point security implementation on both KIS and KAV.

The new hybrid protection technology on KIS and KAV 2012 utilizes a cloud-based centralized database that stores threats and spam information which are constantly updated according to the global security trend. These information will then be fed to KIS or KAV 2012 on user's machine regularly so that they will always have the latest security data which subsequently allows both software to quickly adapt to the latest threats and provided the necessary protective measures for their users.
Apart from that, Kaspersky has also made a number of improvement to make the KIS and KAV 2012 faster and also better than its predecessors. These improvements were applied to various parts of both software which includes but not limited to URL adviser, phishing protection, system watcher, update process, interface, parental control and many more.

Both KIS and KAV 2012 are readily available on the market right now with pricing that starts from RM 69 onwards. The KAV 2012 also comes in a special Home & Student Edition that is priced at RM 30 and requires a valid student card before it can be purchased.
